Hey, brothers and sisters in Christ! 🙏 It’s Jason from Christ Peer-to-Peer. Did y’all know there’s such a thing as a Christian lawyer? I mean, I knew lawyers existed, and Christians, of course, but I never thought the two could meet. How does one reconcile that? I’ve always thought lawyers lie for their clients, whether they’re guilty or innocent. How does one be a Christian lawyer? Got me. 🤷♂️
So, let’s switch gears. I propose that rainbows aren’t actually very gay. Yep, you heard me right. 🌈 Rainbows have always been a Christian symbol first, representing God’s promise after the flood. Genesis 9:13-17 reminds us of this covenant. So, here’s my proposition: we’re taking the rainbow back for Christ. For now, let’s not tell the LGBTQ+ folks because you know how they can get upset. The rainbow is our symbol, and we’re reclaiming it for Jesus.
Back to the Christian lawyer thing—I still can’t wrap my head around it. 🤔 How do you balance faith and a profession that often requires you to defend the guilty? I’ve been on a path that might lead me to encounter some of these folks who claim to have one foot in Christianity and the other deeply rooted in the world. And honestly, I’m a bit fearful of what that might bring.
But you know what? Jesus didn’t shy away from speaking truth to power, even when it led to suffering (Matthew 26:39). If it was good enough for Him, it should be good enough for me, right? I’ve spent years saying, “Let’s do Jesus stuff.” I’ve tried to avoid direct confrontation and slander, sticking to the truth and my opinions. This isn’t all-out war. I love these people, but I also recognize the need to stay true to my convictions.
I’ve had my moments of self-doubt, and that’s okay. Even Jesus had a moment of doubt in the Garden of Gethsemane (Matthew 26:36-46). When those moments hit, I pray. I get down on my knees and imagine myself prostrate before a throne with God sitting on it, and I pray until I feel at peace. 🙏 It works for me and helps me stay grounded in my faith.
So, yeah, this video is a bit of a ramble, but that’s okay. This is my space, my blog, my way of sharing what’s on my heart. Thanks for listening, and remember, brothers and sisters, we’re reclaiming the rainbow for Christ. Let’s keep this between us for now. Love you all. ❤️
