Hey there, brothers and sisters in Christ! 🙏 Jason here with another episode of Shaving Grace on Christ Peer-to-Peer. 🌟
In this video, I’m getting real personal. I haven’t shaved in a while, and I’ve been feeling down. I recently got a haircut, and let’s just say it wasn’t great. 😅 It’s been tough, especially with the nightmares I’ve been having. Every time my mom reaches out, it sends me into a spiral of bad dreams and negative feelings. Last night was one of those nights, and I only got about four hours of sleep. 💤
Today, I decided it’s time for some self-care. 💆♂️ I’m going to shave, do all the things, and try to feel better about myself. It’s been a rough patch, but I know taking care of myself is a step in the right direction.
Talking about my mom brings up a lot of emotions. I’ve been trying to forgive her, but it’s tough when there’s no real repentance on her part. I’ve come to a point where I decided she doesn’t owe me anything anymore. No explanations, no apologies. It’s hard, but it’s the best I can do for now. I’m trying to leave all the bad feelings behind and move forward. 🚶♂️
The Bible tells us to forgive, but it’s so challenging when the other person doesn’t acknowledge their wrongs. I’ve been reading 1 Peter 4, which reminds us that if we believe in Jesus, we’ll suffer for it. This scripture has been a comfort to me, reminding me that my struggles are part of my journey in faith. 📖✝️
1 Peter 4:12-13: “Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed.”
Forgiveness is a complex and challenging process, especially when the other person hasn’t repented. But I believe in moving forward, letting go of past hurts, and focusing on what lies ahead. As Christians, we need to support each other and help each other grow in faith and love.
Brothers and sisters, if you have any thoughts or experiences on forgiveness, especially when it’s hard, please share them. How do you deal with forgiving someone who hasn’t shown remorse? Let’s support each other in our journeys of faith. I love you all and hope you have a blessed day. 🙌❤️ #ShavingGrace #ChristianFaith #Forgiveness #SelfCare #ChristPeerToPeer
