Hey everyone, it’s Jason with Christ Peer-to-Peer, and welcome to another Shaving Grace episode where I share my personal reflections and experiences. Today’s video is called “They Are Doing What?!”
Yesterday was a bit of a nightmare. One of my servers got hacked and started sending out phishing emails, leading to abuse notifications and the server being suspended. As a Christian content creator, I always feared getting shut down for speaking about Jesus, but this was a different kind of shutdown.
Recently, I’ve been cautious with social media, even avoiding cussing in my videos. Yet, I still got shut down on TikTok. I realized that the message of Christ needs to be shared carefully, especially on platforms that might not welcome it.
This morning, I woke up feeling convicted about a video I’ve hesitated to make. It’s about Judaism and its practices. I want to clarify that Judaism as a religion is separate from the Hebrew people. Christians often support Zionism and what’s happening in the Middle East, thinking it’s part of God’s plan. But I believe our role as Christians is different.
One shocking fact is that some Jewish practices still involve animal sacrifices for the remission of sins. This act directly invalidates the work of Jesus Christ on the cross. It’s a stark contrast to Christian beliefs and something we need to be aware of when supporting certain causes.
As Christians, we need to follow Jesus wholeheartedly. We can’t have one foot in the world and one foot in faith. The world is increasingly against Christian values, and it’s time to choose sides. Read the scriptures, pray, and act righteously. Let’s not follow the worldly ways of dressing up for church but rather help and suffer with those in need.
I recently read 1 Peter 4, which says if you believe in Jesus, you’ll suffer for it. Go read it and let it guide your actions.
Stay strong in faith, my brothers and sisters.
